Pay attention because the apartment is located in the Traffic Limited Area where it is not possible to park, it's allowed to enter only:

• in the morning from 8:00 am to 10:30 am, exit until 11:00 am
• In the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, exit until 5:00 pm

The gates of the ZTL are equipped with cameras that photograph license plates, so even a single minute delay can causes a penalty.

SPECIAL LICENCE - If you need a special licence to enter the old town any time in the days of your arrival and departure just to drop and pick up your luggages send me an email with your name, your arrival and departure days and a picture of the licence plate of your car (rental cars too). You can enter without any problem also if you don’t receive an answer from me, I will take care of it.

Here you are some tips about parking:

Italian rules for parking normally are:

> blue lines for a payment

> white lines for free

> yellow lines for special people (disability, police and local inhabitants etc.)

PAY ATTENTION TO THE YELLOW LINES bordering the historic center and in the harbour area. It is possible to park also along the streets without any specific marked lines but be very careful to the panels and along the seaside. 

The main parking for fee is PIAZZALE DELLA PACE (few minutes from the apt, in front of the harbour, for fee in Summer time - normally from April 15th to October 15th but pay always attention to the panels - free in winter time), Inside teh parking there are some few white stalls always for free and going around the car parking, on via la Marmora, via Catalunya and nearby the detention centre there are many free white parking spots.

An other large parking area is around the Mercede church PIAZZA DELLA MERCEDE. All these areas are 5/10 minutes from the apartment. 

You can find free parking with white lines by looking around the Central Market or around via Gramsci or via Mazzini or via Marconi and in the side streets, or by going towards via Perpignan and via Einaudi or the Lungomare Valencia (but no in front of the Carlos V hotel).

In the blue lines it is always possible to park for free in winter (01/10 - 30/04) from 2 to 4 pm and from 8pm to 9am; in summer (01/06 - 30/09) from 2pm to 5pm and from midnight to 9 am.

There is not covered parking in Alghero for tourists.
